The Hermit is a variation on the tarot card ‘the hermit’, which depicts a lone wanderer who endures long periods of solitude to find inner wisdom. In this piece the hermit is dropping his guiding light, and in the shadows left behind we see a circuit pattern, representing the lack of solitude that we experience with today's ever-present digital connectedness.
